Walnut & Padauk Aeroplane

Montessori Wooden Airplane (Ages 3+)

Crafted from maple, padauk and walnut, this little flyer is all real wood—no paint, no plastic. The warm walnut tail, creamy maple nose and naturally red padauk wings make a tactile mix that invites hands-on discovery. Wingtips gently pivot for trim-and-turn play, the wheels roll smoothly, and the included Allen key lets children assemble, tighten and rebuild like a real ground crew.

• Real hardwoods – Maple, Padauk & Walnut; natural colour and grain, finished with child-safe oil

• Montessori practical-life – Allen key work builds pincer grip, wrist rotation, coordination and care for things

• Mechanics they can feel – Moving wingtips and rolling wheels make cause-and-effect clear without lights or sound

• Heirloom quality – Rounded edges, serviceable hardware; CE/UKCA tested for ages 1+

Pair it with the Oak & Sprout Playmat for the full Montessori experience: mark out runways and taxiways, set “parking bays,” and plan simple routes—great for positional language, early mapping and small-world storytelling.

Each piece is unique; grain, tone and hue vary and are just as individual as the trees they came from.
